instruction manual
Printer doesn't recognize cartridge
or gives 'cartridge error'
Cartridge's electrical circuit does not
make good contact with the printer's
electric contacts, the cartridge is not
installed correctly, or the wrong
cartridge is installed
Make sure the electrical contacts on cartridge
and printer are clean. Clean the contacts
carefully with a moist tissue and dry them with
a dry clean tissue. Replace the cartridge into the
printer carefully.
Cartridge is not correct for your printer model or
chip is damaged : replace the cartridge.
Printer gives 'cartridge empty'
message too early, while there is
still enough ink in the cartridge
Printer/cartridge software
Certain cartridge models are, although
technically capable of containing much more
ink, originally filled with limited quantities of ink
and it's software is programmed for this limited
quantity. We fill our cartridges always up to the
technical maximum capacity (up to double the
original content). However the software can
not be changed, so after the amount of ink
indicated by the software is consumed the
printer software will indicate that the cartridge
is empty, which is not the case. This problem
occurs only with a limited number of printers
and can be solved by disabling the
level-monitoring software.
