Compatible Inkreservoirs :
Remove the yellow/orange sealstrip (1) which says 'Pull'. Make sure the seal is removed
completely. Unremoved parts may cause the ventilation to be blocked, which could
cause printing problems. Remove the orange plastic protection clip (2)

Install the cartridge(s) into your printer. Make sure you follow the proper installation
procedure as mentioned in your printer's manual.
Remanufactured Inkjetcartridges :
Remove the orange plastic protection clip (1) and then remove the blue sealing tape (2) which is
applied onto the printhead.
Install the cartridge into your printer. Make sure you follow the proper installation procedure as
mentioned in your printer's manual.
Problem
Possible Cause
Solution
Cartridge does not print at all
Yellow seal on top of the inkreservoir or
blue tape on the printhead has not been
removed completely.
Cartridge or inkreservoir has not been
installed in the printer correctly
Small air bubbles inside the cartridge's
printing head
Remove the yellow seal or blue sealing
tape completely and correctly
Place the cartridge into it's holder carefully
and make sure it clicks into it's position
correctly, and make sure the cartridge is
locked into it's holder properly
Run the printer's printhead cleaning procedure
once or twice. Some printers have a self
cleaning button on the printer itself, other
printers require a cleaning instruction through
the printer software. Do not process the
cleaning procedure for more then 2 times, as a
lot of ink is consumed during cleaning. If after
cleaning the printhead twice the print is still not
OK, then wait 2 hours and repeat the cleaning
procedure 1 more time
Printer has not been used for a prolonged
period, or the printhead has come to the end
of it's life
Remove the printhead from the printer and put
the printhead (with the inkreservoir still
mounted) with it's nozzles down in a thin layer
of luke-warm water, in order to try to loosen
it's clogged inkparts. Leave the printhead in
the water for about 10 minutes. Afterwards
dry and clean the electric contacts with a dry
soft tissue, if needed. If this doesn't have the
required result replace the printhead or
cartridge (cartridges with integrated
printhead)
White lines of changing length or width in
the print
Small air bubbles inside the cartridge's
printing head

Horizontal sharp white lines of constant
width in the print
Printing head is clogged or dried out

then remove the printhead from the printer and
put it with it's nozzles down in a thin layer of
luke-warm water. Soak the printhead in the water
for about 10 minutes. Afterwards clean and dry it
carefully with a soft tissue. If this does not have

Cartridge is almost empty
Replace the cartridge
Bad print quality ; ink 'bleeds'
too much
Paper is the wrong type or printer's
software paper setting is wrong
Paper suitable for inkjetprinters should be used.
The paper setting in the printer software should
correspond with the paper type used. For more
information please consult your printer's
instruction manual
Printer doesn't recognize cartridge
or gives 'cartridge error'
Electric circuit of the printcartridge or
printhead does not make sufficient
contact with the printer's electronic
circuit
Remove the printhead or cartridge (cartridges
with integrated printhead) from the printer and
clean the contacts in printer and on the
printhead carefully with a moist tissue.
Afterwards dry the contacts with a dry tissue
and replace the cartridge.
Printhead or cartridge is not correct for your
printer model or electric circuit is damaged :
replace the printhead or cartridge.
Printer gives 'cartridge empty' or 'ink
out' message, after installing the
new cartridge
Memory effect or improper installation
procedure of the new cartridge.

The printer's ink-usage memory should be reset
after replacing a cartridge every time. Normally
this will be done automatically if the proper
cartridge installation procedure is executed.
Consult your printer's manual for instructions
for manually resetting the printer's memory.
